BASIC DRAWING FOR CALLIGRAPHERS
In this beginner's class, we will use photographs as a reference to see the basic simple shapes that make up all objects.
We will practice using these shapes with the ultimate goal of the student leaving the class with a basic understanding of how to create their OWN illustrations.
We will create 6 illustrations that are designed to be of special use to calligraphers and can be put to practical use in designs created by calligraphers.
INTERMEDIATE DRAWING
Freehand drawing is the main focus of this class.
Attention will also be placed on the coloring of these wonderful freehand drawings.
We will learn how to draw and color beautiful objects found in nature specifically designed to enhance the value and beauty of your calligraphy projects.
HOLIDAY DRAWING FUN
You will learn freehand drawing techniques that successful artists all over the world use.
What’s unique about THIS class is that we’ll be applying these wonderful drawing techniques to specific holiday items that can stand alone AND be combined to create holiday borders, holiday greetings and unique holiday patterns for any use you can imagine.
Kevin's background is in illustration, animation, and design. A few of his clients include George Lucas, Cartoon Network, Disney, Comcast, Tim Burton, Hasbro, Hanna-Barbara, Bette Midler, The Boston Red Sox, the Los Angeles Angels and many others. Kevin currently has more than 20 children's books he's illustrated on Amazon. He has designed this class specifically for Acorn Arts, to help calligraphers understand the basics of drawings.
